SCOPE
ASEC performed structural analysis checks for the loading and use of all substation steel for a 34.5kV to 138kV substation located in the State of Illinois. As the registered Structural Engineer (SE) on the project ASEC finalized the drawings and calculations and stamped the final project records.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The substation connected into a local generation station and stepped up the voltage for transfer into a 138kV system. ASEC developed and checked all appropriate short circuit loads and weather loads per IEEE and ASCE standards and verified that the structural steel was adequate for the design.
