Distribution Design

Distribution Engineering Capabilities

Our team of engineers, designers, and drafters has expertise in all aspects of utility-scale overhead and underground distribution engineering programs. We excel at utilizing the PLS-CADD suite for distribution engineering design and analysis on new and existing distribution systems and have created construction packages for several thousand transmission and distribution poles.

In addition to ASEC’s familiarity with the overhead/underground distribution and transmission industry standards, the ASEC Distribution Team has established design criteria and introduced advanced distribution engineering design investigations to better suit our client’s compliance requirements. Additionally, ASEC’s Project Management Team has coordinated with utilities and local jurisdictions to apply for the necessary permits, environmental applications, and traffic control plans during the installation of the structures and additions. Listed below are just some of the areas ASEC’s clients have asked us to assist with:

  • Pole and Line Relocation
  • Storm Hardening
  • Overhead to Underground
  • Resiliency
  • Asset Management
  • Make-Ready Distribution Design
  • Project Scoping
  • PLS-CADD Modeling
  • Automated Mapping
  • Facilities Management
  • GIS Mapping
  • LiDAR Analysis
  • Customer Connections
  • Procurement Support
  • Specifications
  • Supplier Assessment
