Engineering Manager Jobs:
Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of highly skilled engineering staff while ensuring that company objectives and goals are met. Engineering Manager will also be expected to assist in technical development of employees in their charge and may be asked to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) based on specific experience prior to joining the company. Additionally, in cases where technical work overlaps with expertise, Engineering Manager may be asked to act as Engineer of Record (EOR) on various projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new engineering staff.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Ability to oversee and mentor Engineers that may or may not have a similar technical background/technical discipline.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Leads and coordinates various engineering functions and operations including quality assurance, testing, production, and research and development of new and existing product lines.
- Facilitates communication among clients/customers and engineers, ensuring expectations regarding budgets, and deadlines are clearly communicated and understood.
- Reviews work and projects for technical accuracy.
- Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards.
- Maintains knowledge of new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to continually improve production efficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Significant experience in one or all of the following areas of expertise: Transmission Line Design (PLS-CADD), Substation Design, Renewables Design (BESS/PV), Technical Distribution Design and/or a related Power Delivery design sector.
- Ability to work from one of our major offices on a hybrid basis at minimum (3 days per week): Denver, Houston, San Diego, or Orlando.
- Assist in resourcing and staffing decisions across companywide programs and portfolios.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering required; Masters degree preferred.
- At least eight years of related experience required. Ten years preferred.
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) within the United States, with the ability to obtain other state licenses through reciprocity.
