As part of a client’s Electric System Hardening initiative ASEC has designed over 300 structures for increased reliability. All of these poles had Copper Wire that was being replaced by new Aluminum Wire. Some areas of this scope included compressed schedules due to code infractions causing immediate safety issues.

ASEC worked diligently under the tight timelines mandated by the Public Utility Commission and delivered quality deliverables for the system hardening on time. Wood to steel replacements were designed at various locations dictated by the additional loads and by the program requirements. Additionally, once issues were found post-construction such as excessive conductor tensions, or overutilized structures, remediations have been outlined by the ASEC design and engineering teams.
