Scope

ASEC partnered with the client on over fifty (50) antenna attachment projects, providing structural analysis on existing lattice towers for the load demand of attaching new antennas. The scope of these projects included building site-specific PLS TOWER models based on photographs from site visits and historical structure data sheets. Conductor loads were developed per Alfred’s Binder, and a detailed comparison to GO95 loading was conducted to confirm the maximum conductor design loads. Antenna loads were developed utilizing the TIA-222 standards.

A final structural analysis, including both maximum conductor and antenna loads, was then conducted to assure structural adequacy and stability. Additionally, ASEC examined the antenna mounting connections to the tower and provided reviews for the carrier’s structural calculations for the antenna frame mounts.
